Spin-slip structure and central peak phenomena in singlet-doublet system: Praseodymium
A theory is given for the central peaks observed in praseodymium, which is an effective singlet-doublet System of localized spins. The dominant peak is due to induced longitudinal magnetic ordering, which can be accounted for by mode-mode coupling theory. The second, broader peak is due to an induced, phase-locked transverse mode.
Hexagonal anisotropy causes a:resulting distorted spiral structure with spin slips.
