Development with Sustainable Use of Electricity

The book consist of 14 contributions from 9 different countries, presented at an international workshop in 1996 in Lopuzna, Poland. Some chapters discuss the more general aspects of this rather new field of research about how using the electricity with greater care can save a substantial part of the present consumption.

It also includes chapters on Integrated Resource Planning and Least Cost Planning. Other chapters give concrete and striking examples of how much has been achieved within lighting, communication, motors, etc. as well as whole houses. Finally some chapters describe the policies of some countries and EU, aiming at harvesting the immense savings.
