Wind stress measurements during the 1990 North Sea SAXON experiment

In Proceedings of Oceans '93 — 1993, pp. II354,II355,II356,II357,II358
From

Risø National Laboratory for Sustainable Energy, Technical University of Denmark

Meteorological data collected from the SAR X-band Ocean Nonlinearities (SAXON) Experiment indicated that the drag coefficient decreases with increasing wave age, and that the stress direction depends on air-sea heat flux. While the stress direction's dependence on heat flux closely followed previous results, the scatter in the results was much larger.<>
