Ground penetrating radar antenna measurements based on plane-wave expansions
The plane-wave transmitting spectrum of the system consisting of the ground penetrating radar (GPR) antenna and the air-soil interface is measured using a loop buried in the soil. The plane-wave spectrum is used to determine various parameters characterizing the radiation of the GPR antenna into the soil.
The procedure is tested on a spiral atenna.
