Energy Innovation Systems Indicator Report 2016

This report collates a set of indicators, figures and tables for the energy innovation system in Denmark. Emphasis is on renewable energy and other technologies for moving towards sustainability. The purpose is to provide an overview of indicators available for illuminating dynamics and characteristics of energy innovation systems and to the extent possible offer figures of the developments in the individual indicators.

The report is an update of a report published in 2012. Graphs and numbers are updated with the most recent data available. The text is updated where needed in connection to the individual indicators as well as in the general remarks and conclusions. A limited number of new indicators and measurements are included.

In addition, the accounts are in a few cases changed due to changes in data availability or in measurement methods. The report is produced as part of the activities in “EIS – Strategic research alliance for Energy Innovation Systems and their dynamics – Denmark in global competition”. EIS is funded by the Danish Council for Strategic Research (Innovation Fund Denmark) and by the involved research organisations.
