A Semiotic Framework for the Semantics of Digital Multimedia Learning Objects
The relevance of semiotics for extending multimedia description schemes will be shown relative to existing strategies for indexing and retrieval. The semiotic framework presented is intended to support a compositional semantics of flexible digital multimedia objects. Besides semiotics insights from Formal Concept Analysis is utilized.
