Response Times of Operators in a Control Room
Abstract
A statistical analysis was made of operator response times recorded in the control room of a research reactor during the years 1972-1974. A homogeneity test revealed that the data consist of a mixture of populations. A small but statistically significant difference is found between day and night response times.
Lognormal distributions are found to provide the best fit of the day and the night response times.
