The paper presents an investigation of the active and reactive power losses in a distribution network with wind turbines and combined heat and power plants. The investigation is based on 15 min average power measurements and load flow calculations in the power system simulation tool PowerFactory®. Based on the measurements and simulations, a regressive model for calculation and allocation of active and reactive power losses has been derived.

The influence of the covariance between load and production on the system losses is investigated separately.
