Analysis of critical neutron- scattering data from iron and dynamical scaling theory

From

Risø National Laboratory for Sustainable Energy, Technical University of Denmark1

Experimental three- axis spectrometer data of critical neutron- scattering data from Fe are reanalyzed and compared with the recent theoretical prediction by P. Resibois and C. Piette. The reason why the spin- diffusion parameter did not obey the prediction of dynamical scaling theory is indicated. Double- axis spectrometer data have previously been interpreted in terms of a non- Lorentzian susceptibility.

It is shown that with proper corrections for the inelasticity of the scattering the data are consistent with a Lorentzian form of susceptibility.
