Mid-IR gas-filled Raman fiber laser at 4.22 µm with high pulse energy and efficiency

A mid-IR 4.22 µm Raman laser targeting CO2 absorption line is reported based on a hydrogen-filled hollow-core fiber. Quantum efficiency as high as 74% was achieved at 20 bar with 17.6 µJ pulse energy.
