The impact of air pollution from used ventilation filters on human comfort and health
The comfort and health of 30 women was studied during 4 hours´ exposure in an experimental room with either a used or a new filter present in the ventilation system. All other environmental parameters were kept constant. The presence of the used filter in the ventilation system had a significant adverse impact on several perceptions and symptoms, both immediately upon entering the office and throughout the exposure period.
None of the perceptions or symptoms were better when the used filter was in the system.
