We have utilized the spin-dependent neutron-nucleus interaction to measure the nuclear polarization in a single crystal of109Ag. Transmission measurements with a polarized neutron beam in a high magnetic field provided a convenient primary thermometer. By this method the spin-lattice relaxation of109Ag was studied at low electronic temperatures (<200 μK) and high magnetic fields (7 T), where the Korringa relation breaks down.
