Department of Combustion Research annual report 1 January - 31 December 1995

In 1995 The Department of Combustion Research has carried out research and development in the programme area of combustion and gasification. The research was aimed at improving the technical and scientific basis for the design and operation of combustion and gasification plants. The overall objective was to contribute to a reduced environmental impact and improved energy efficiency the work was performed in a number of projects, which have been structured in the research programme: Combustion and Gasification Reactions, Processes and Technologies.

The combustion research at Risø was reorganized in 1995, leading to the termination of the department by the end of 1995. Several activities with the emphasis on combustion chemistry and diagnostics will continue in programmes in other departments. The main research activities and results are surveyed in this report covering the period of 1 January to 31 December 1995.
