In this paper, we propose an approach to optimize the charging schedule of an Electric Vehicle (EV) fleet both taking into account spot price and individual EV driving requirement with the goal of minimizing charging costs. A flexible and suitable mathematic model is introduced to characterize the smart charging behavior and detailed parameters needed for charging behavior of an individual EV are analyzed.
The individual charging schedule is extended to the EV fleet. Simulation results are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed model.
