Bending-induced single-mode behaviour of a polarizing double-clad Yb-doped photonic crystal fiber

The single-mode behaviour of a polarizing double-clad Yb-doped photonic crystal fiber has been numerically demonstrated for a proper coiling diameter. The influence of bending on the output power in amplifier configuration has been also experimentally evaluated.
