From August 2008 to August 2009, the project ‘Off-Shore Wind Energy Resource Assessment and Feasibility Study of Off-Shore Wind Farm Development in China’ was carried out by China Meteorological Administration (CMA), which was funded by the EU-China Energy and Environment Programme (EEP). As one part of the project, off-shore wind energy resource in China was assessed with QuikSCAT Satellite data and SAR Satellite Images.
In this paper, the results from these two ways were introduced.
