In this paper, a method to simulate the tensile stress-strain behavior of strain hardening cementitious composites (SHCC) is described. Experimentally obtained information on the fiber bridging stress-crack opening relationship of individual cracks is used to simulate the formation of multiple cracking in the strain hardening stage of SHCC and the development ofcrack spacing and widths are captured quantitatively.

The simulation results compare well with experimentally obtained results of the composite response in the uniaxial tension test.
