Department of Combustion Research annual progress report 1 January - 31 December 1994

The Department of Combustion Research performs research and development in the programme area of combustion and gasification. The research is aimed at improving the technical and scientific basis for the design and operation of combustion and gasification plants. The overall objective is to contribute to a reduced environmental impact and improved energy efficiency and economy Basic as well as applied research is performed in a number of projects, which have been structured in two research programmes: Chemical and physical characterization of fuels and processes and Optimization of combustion and gasification technologies.

The main research activities and results are surveyed in this Progress Report covering the period of 1 January to 31 December 1994. In addition other activities, equipment and facilities, staff and publications are briefly presented. (au).
