Transport Research APAS (actions de preparation, d'accompagnement et du suivi): Road Transport - Evaluation

The aim of the study, dealing with road investments evaluation, is to deliver a single, coherent approach of the full range of road projects. The study draws together, contrasts and compares evaluation procedures and fuses them into an approach to evaluation which embraces both technical performance indicators and economic indicators.

Specifically, the study has provided 1) a report analysing ATT pilot projects from the perspective of evaluation, 2) a recommended approach to road project evaluation encompassing traditional and new methods, and the evaluation perspective necessary to appraise other types of projects and 3) a report containing an analysis of past experience concerning implementation and technology transfer, followed by a series of recommendations for seeking to achieve the full benefits available from wide implementation of future project results.
