We present a 0.4-1.2 GHz open-boundary quad-ridge horn to be used as a wide-band probe at the DTU-ESA Spherical Near-Field Antenna Test Facility at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). Due to adopted hybrid Al-CFRP fabrication technology, the weight of the probe is reduced by a factor of 2.3 as compared to the case of the same probe fabricated of solid aluminum.

Measured characteristics of the probe as well as its performance with respect to the higher-order probe correction technique are presented and discussed.
