Logic operation is the key of digital electronics and spintronics. Based on spin-dependent transport property of zigzag graphene nanoribbons studied using nonequilibrium Green’s function method and density functional theory, we propose a complete set of all-carbon spin logic gates, in which the spin-polarized current can be manipulated by the source-drain voltage and magnetic configuration of the electrodes.

These logic gates allow further designs of complex spin logic operations and pave the way for full implementation of spintronics computing devices.
