Impacts of fuel quality on power production
The first ash deposition or slagging and fouling conference, as they are commonly called, was held at the Marchwood Engineering Laboratories in the UK in 1963. Since that time many excellent conferences have occurred to provide interchange, dialogue, experiences and results among those who deal with the many opportunities afforded by fuel quality.
However, due to the changing sponsorship environment, it has been several years since the last conference which focused on fuel characteristics and their paramount importance in power production. This conference, the 17th in the series, was entitled “Impacts of Fuel Quality on Power Production” and was held in Snowbird, UT, from October 29 to November 3, 2006.
More than 50 participants from 13 countries throughout the world participated.
