The first part of this paper focuses on presenting an updated view on the state of the art in data center networks. The European project COSIGN has provided industrial optical data center network roadmaps, strategies and a techno-economic analysis of the involved industrial partners’ value proposition.
The conclusions and technology timeline is summarised in this paper.
