A socio-technical approach to teaching the social impacts of technological development
This paper describes a socio-technical approach to teach work environment in an en-gineering education as an alternative to a science-based presentation of each potential harmful factor. The socio-technical approach emphasizes that work environment must be understood in a social context and that engineers must have ability to participate in change processes.
