Solid state electrochemistry. Proceedings

From

Fuel Cells and Solid State Chemistry Division, Risø National Laboratory for Sustainable Energy, Technical University of Denmark1

Risø National Laboratory for Sustainable Energy, Technical University of Denmark2

The 26th Risø International Symposium on Materials Science is concerned with solid state electrochemistry. Solid state electrochemistry covers phenomena on a scale from the atomic to the macroscopic, from the microscopics of defect formation and transport to the thermodynamics of galvanic cells. In recent years the importance of solid state electrochemistry has steadily increased, mostly motivated by its many applications, such as for fuel cells (PEMFC and SOFC) and other energy conversion devices, sensors, solid state membranes and gas purification systems.
