Future technological developments to fulfill AG2020 targets

This report constitute an analysis of selected technologies that are anticipated to underpin the images described in Giaoutzi et al (2008) and it proposes policy measures to promote these technologies. It builds on Borch et al (2008) where a more detailed description of technologies can be found. Based on the technological narratives and imperatives, we select a set of present available technologies that are able to support the society in reaching the targets set up by AG2020.
For each of these technologies, we evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the technology to reach the target as well as the threats for development of the technology in the respective images. Finally policies for promoting and spreading technologies are proposed.
